A strong voice and strong support for Victorian Landcare

At the beginning of the week as part of the national 30 year anniversary celebrations, Ian Arney (LVI Committee Member) and Pam Robinson OAM (LVI Oral History Committee) attended an event in Wentworth commemorating the national launch. Read the full media release from the event here
Its 33 years since Landcare was launched in Victoria and as part of the celebrations, the LVI committee decided to create an archive of Landcare Voices. So far 16 interviews have been conducted and are available online, capturing the oral history of Landcare across the state. LVI 2020 AGM & Election Outcome
Over 65 delegates, members and guests joined the Landcare Victoria Inc.’s first virtual AGM on 29th May. Free Webinar - Soil Carbon - what is it all about? 11 June 2020

Weeds & Rabbits Landholder Survey - Open until 24 June 2020
Pests and weeds are a problem for all Victorian land managers and cost more than $1 billion a year. Agriculture Victoria is working together with land managers to improve their management of pests and weeds. Landholders are being invited to take part in a state-wide survey to better understand the social and behavioural factors that influence pest and weed management. The results will provide a better understanding of the barriers people face with implementing weed and rabbit control practices. Click into news item for link.
